Alignment may make cleaning easier, but active inflammation should be assessed and stabilized before elective movement. Records also determine whether space can be created predictably with aligners or whether another orthodontic approach offers better control.

Are clear aligners suitable for every bite?

No. They can manage many alignment and bite concerns, but movement complexity, jaw relationships, periodontal support and the ability to wear trays consistently may favour another approach.

Why are retainers needed after treatment?

Teeth can move after active orthodontic treatment. Retention is planned to help stabilize the result, and long-term wear instructions depend on the individual case.
